Entry requirements

There are no entry requirements for the participation in lectures or exercises. The successful attendance to the module general chemistry is recommended. For the participation in the practical course the successful attendance to the general safety instructions (part of the introduction weeks) and the specific lab safety instructions for organic chemistry is required.

Modalities of examination

Organic Chemistry is a main module in the course BSc Biology.

Assessment will be a written examination at the end of the course. Active participation during exercises and practical courses is reviewed in form of problem exercises and written laboratory reports. Active participation is a prerequesite for admission to the written examination (laboratory reports : written examination = 20:80).

For the whole module 7 ECTS are allocated.
